Since the 1970s,Mathematical Literacy has become the international mathematics education research center,is the common goal of international education in the 21st century,the international mathematics curriculum reform focuses on Mathematical Literacy,and Mathematical Literacy is the theoretical basis of quality education,and it is an important academic value.The concept of"core literacy" was put forward in the ministry of education' s opinion on comprehensively deepening curriculum reform and implementing the basic task of the moral.Mathematical Literacy first appeared in 2000 in China' s national file,the compulsory education mathematics curriculum standards(2011 edition)"clearly pointed out that Mathematical Literacy is the modern society,every citizen should have the basic quality.First,this article applies the method of literature and theory study,clarify the concept and constituent elements of Mathematical Literacy,found at home and abroad view is similar to that of Mathematical Literacy,the affected is mathematical knowledge,social needs and individual development in three aspects.This article argues that Mathematical Literacy is that the students have the mathematics learning and mathematics activities to harvest mathematical thinking acquire mathematical knowledge,grasp basic skills,form the mathematical thinking,mathematics to solve problems in the future personal development,to adapt to social development and needs,to better meet the arrival of the era of big data.Research on Mathematical Literacy at home and abroad,made a deep analysis of the importance of the combined with domestic and foreign elements and established high school Mathematical Literacy elements,combine with many scholars' points and adapt to the junior middle school Mathematical Literacy elements to found the elements adapt Yanji such as:Mathematical abstraction,Mathematical operations,reasoning,Mathematical modeling,data analysis,intuitive imagination,mathematical problem solving ability.According to the students' cognitive development and mathematical literacy level test questionnaire,the students' cognitive development and mathematics literacy level were investigated by using the survey method.According to the mathematical literacy level of Yanji eighth-grade students' Mathematical Literacy level present situation investigation,test results for the average Mathematical Literacy in 1 level,the highest level in Mathematical Literacy is mathematics ion,in addition to the mathematics abstract,other six Mathematical Literacy is 1 level frequency is the highest,3 level frequency is the lowest,like a triangular,in all the survey Mathematical Literacy,plausible reasoning the part of reasoning is the lowest.And it shows that the mathematical abstraction of students has a big difference,it is unstable,subject study in Mathematical Literacy,enhance the level is not obvious.To solve a variety of knowledge involved,a variety of methods using the conventional complex problem ability is weak,on the logical relationship between the knowledge,the knowledge structure needs to strengthen,mathematical problem solving steps to know less,the conclusion of inductive reasoning to develop.According to the mathematical literacy and students' cognitive development test analysis,the following results are obtained:1.The structure of concrete image thinking develop to abstract thinking is the same as that of mathematical abstract,both of which have the maximum frequency on the first level and the third level frequency in the middle of all,and the lowest frequency of the second level.This indicates that the development of abstract thinking affects the students' abstract ability,and if you want to important the students' mathematical abstract ability,you could pay more attention to improve the first level students' mathematical abstractions thinking.2.Mathematical abstractions are well in all 7 mathematical literacy,and the results of mathematical reasoning ability are middle.The development of formal reasoning is related to mathematical abstraction and mathematical reasoning,and the development of formal reasoning can promote the formation of students'mathematical abstract ability and promote the development of reasoning ability of students.3.Students' mathematical problem solving process is not clear because students' self-reflective thinking activities are less,encouraging students to increase their self-monitoring and self-regulating thinking activities is a way to improve students' ability to mathematical problem solving.In teaching,students should adapt to the growth of students and encourage students to reflect and communicate.4.Intuitive imagination ability is poor,the question ability for a variety of ways to solve problem is poor,because the single-thinking and the poor divergent thinking,and the students' count and degree of thinking need to be improved to become complex.Compare the mathematical literacy and students' cognitive development get the following conclusion:1.The middle school students' mathematical literacy level is related to cognitive level.Improving the cognitive ability of middle school students can help to improve students' mathematical literacy.2.In the cognitive development of the eighth grade students in Yanji city,the situation of propositional learning is poor and needs to be improved.The most important problem of students' cognitive development is the understanding and application of the proposition,the relationship between the various parts of the proposition should be more clear,and the relation between the proposition and the proposition should be formed in a reasonable context.3.There are problems in the students' mathematical literacy in the understanding of knowledge,knowledge transfer,knowledge innovation three level,conclude the main problem is that the student's knowledge is scattered,and there is a big obstacle to abstract mathematical problems,and their thinking is not clear,and the mathematical thinking pattern formed is fuzzy,the mind is seriously limited,thinking is simple,the mind lacks divergence.4.According to the literature,the main principles of the students'mathematical literacy are Situational and comprehensive,but from students'mathematical literacy survey found that the students' mathematical literacy training also should pay attention to process,therefore,the three basic principles of cultivating students' mathematical literacy are situational,comprehensive and procedural.According to the result using case analysis together with the present situation of students' cognitive development situation,the current situation of Mathematical Literacy and the training way at home and abroad,found three principles to promote the Mathematical Literacy level of students in Yanji such as situational,comprehensive and procedural.With the aim of improving the Mathematical literacy level,and according to the cultivation principles we analysis the teaching-design.
