The new curriculum reform advocates students as well to participate in teaching, therefore can promote a meaningful learning for them. However, under the pressure of entering a higher school, there are still some conditions being inconsistent with these requirements when we actually process them.Teachers’ lack of mathematic logic thinking in teaching, combined with not taking individual students’ cognitive structure into account,is leading students to have difficulties in understanding mathematic knowledge. In order to solve the problems above, this paper proposes a teaching model named Advanced Organizers, and the idea is not only based on Ausubel’s Meaningful Acceptance Theory but also some other relative ones. The theory is tested out to be feasible for high schools’ mathematic teaching process, since it meets laws of physiological and psychological development,as well goes together with the content of mathematics, the discipline we are talking about.According to further study about Advanced Organizers Model, the paper works out concrete contents and generalizes basic teaching steps which are appropriate for both teachers and students. In the specific teaching practice, based on chapters which are representative in knowledge level, appropriate for problem-sloving method, and coherent with mathematic thinking patterns,we choose to give a lesson about arithmetic series. This lesson is combined with specific applications of the theory, and it also helps us testified the grades both under timely tests and time-lapse ones.As a result, the practice clarifies the role of Advanced Organizers,as a way to enhance students’ learning interests and motivate study in a meaningful learning context. At last,we know about the influence of the theory and some points where we need to improve through questionaires. The author finally concludes that Advanced Organisers, compared with traditional teaching models,is more advantaged to incent students to get mathematic knowledge and reach a meaningful learning level, which can help to result in better teaching efficiency. |
