| The insensitivity and ignorance of students’ sense of dignity have caused many vicious events in recent years. At present, school education pays less attention to the awareness of students’ dignity. This study investigates the status quo of the cultivation of awareness of dignity in primary school seniors, reveals the problems and causes of the cultivation of awareness of dignity in primary school seniors, and puts forward the principles and strategies for cultivating the sense of dignity in primary school seniors. This study used a self-designed questionnaire to investigate attitudes, contents, and methods of teachers’ awareness of dignity in primary school senior students.Differences in gender variables, class teacher variables, grade variables, teaching variables, job time variables, and cultural level variables were analyzed. The study finds that female teachers are better than male teachers in training students’ awareness of dignity;teachers in class teachers are better at training students’ awareness of dignity than non-teacher teachers;teachers who serve for a long period of time are better at training students’ awareness of dignity than those who have short working hours; The education of teachers with respect to the awareness of students’ dignity is better than that of specialists;there is no significant difference between teachers who teach different grades and different subjects. The problems in the cultivation of the sense of dignity in primary school senior students are manifested in the neglect of the cultivation of student dignity consciousness in the school as a whole, teachers’ neglect of the cultivation of students’ “his esteem”,emphasis on“corrective education” and “preventive education”.The main reasons for the above problems are the influence of traditional concepts, the lack of initiative of teachers themselves, and the lack of effective synergy between home and school. The effective cultivation of the sense of dignity of primary school senior students needs to adhere to the principles of integrity, hierarchy, and reality;establish a scientific concept ofdignity;practice the concept of education where everyone is a moral educator;and establish emotional connections with students. |
