As our country age-old traditional culture and traditional education ideas,"the teacher’s dignity", has acted as sustain rule of human behavior, traditional education activity and the important role of the relationship between teachers and students. In a traditional society, people respect knowledge and way as the lofty position, so put the teachers on a high status."A day of the teacher, for the life of the father", which embodies a kind of respecting teachers thought. In modern,"the teacher’s dignity" is in a big challenge, especially with the advent of the information age, the teacher is no longer the only source of knowledge, the classroom listening also is no longer the only way to learn the knowledge. Teacher-in the middle in the traditional classroom education mode is changing.The development of market economy, the value orientation of social and moral standards has diversified; popular education’s advancement, the education system and education management mode profound changes, the relationship between teachers and students has changed."Teacher way dignity" thought is declining. For the teacher does not keep its way, and it’s hard to keep its way:learners have no intention to learn; the strict teacher is disappeared. In the campus, teachers become vulnerable groups. Teaching order. Research order’, Cultural order. Management order, all that is hard to build.Based on the background, this study attempts to research the traditional "teacher way dignity", to discard the inheritance, seek the path of traditional education concept and modern elements; return the tradition of respecting teachers. Abide by the teacher way to become a teacher behavior consciously Make the relationship between teachers and students in optimization of the realization of a harmonious. Make "respects keep word" become the construction of harmonious campus order of an important impetus, become a harmonious campus is an important part of the order.This paper is divided into four parts, the first part is the preface, including putting forwards the problem, the research significance, the literature review, the research idea and research methods.The second part, first explains the origin of "teacher","the career of teachers","way of teachers ". and the content of "the teacher’s dignity". Its connotation includes the teacher’s occupation moral, teacher’s education mission, treating the teachers with respect and following the teacher’s strict requirements. Then analysis the modern value of respecting the teacher, including political value, social value and education value. The third part shows that our universities are lack of the traditional "the teacher’s dignity" view from reality."Teacher way dignity" in different degree missing, appearing knowledge and value field leading position the resolution of teachers, the students loss of respecting the teacher, the teacher the loss " of model behavior ", teachers’ legal status in a vulnerable. Even the teacher educate in "tools", or teacher’s departure from the teacher’s way. Then it reviews the relationship between teachers and students with the respecting. So generally speaking, the modern university teachers and students relation is benign, positive. But, we have to admit that the relationship between teachers and students in the modern university is changing.The fourth part is conclusion. For establishing respect and orderly, sincere harmonious relationship between teacher and students, we need to reshape the modern sense of dignity teacher way from the state and society, schools, teachers and students.
