A Study On National Identity Of Korean Chinese Students In Sino-loreign Cooperative University

Yanbian University of Science and Technology is one of the Sino-foreign cooperation universities.There are 78.49%of the foreign teachers of all teachers,and also 660%of the Korean Chinese students of all students.With the deepening of economic globalization and the rapid development of new media,students are challenged by foreign cultures,ideologies and values at any time.In addition,foreign teachers teach major courses,so students are constantly influenced by their ideas,lifestyles and so on.Taking the Yanbian University of Science and Technology as an example,through the questionnaire and in-depth interview,found that the situation of ethnic identity of Korean Chinese students is as follows.Most students have higher cognitive level on the national culture and also have strong national pride,however some parts of students have lower cognitive level and poor sense of national pride.Most Korean Chinese students are proud of their Chinese nationality about national identity.They care for future and destiny of the homeland,and hope that homeland will become stronger than the United States.They learn the report of 19th CPC National Congress in time,identify with the new era,support Xi Jinping’ s thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the mission entrusted by the time.They have confidence in the road of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.However,a few students expressed that they do not really concern about the view of the motherland and other issues.They just follow the general trend,it’s very painful and worrying.The main reasons for the higher level of ethnic identity of Korean Chinese students are as follows.They are all young people who were born in after 1995,and they are the fifth generation of Korean Chinese nationality.Their growth has been synchronized with the brilliant achievements of the motherland’s economic and social development.Most of the students are descendants of revolutionary martyrs or military families who received education in revolutionary tradition and national policy from childhood.The main reasons for the higher level of national identity of Korean Chinese students are as follows.China has become stronger from rich,economic and social development is fast,and its status in the world has been promoted day by day.The University constructs a comprehensive students’ education management mechanism,improves the on-duty system of Party members and the construction of "Party group activity room",strengthen patriotism education,carry out colorful campus cultural activities and Marxism Chinese theory education and practice activity also the selection criteria and training of foreign teachers.At present,the education of national identity in Yanbian University of Science and Technology exists several problems,such as ideological politic theory teachers who haven’ t done the transformation of the teaching material system to the teaching ability,pay more attention to the education of the Party members and less attention to the education of non-party students,pay more attention to the major courses and less attention to the ideology politic courses and students are lack of psychological endurance.Followings are some main ways to improve the national identity of students in Sino-Foreign Cooperation University in the frontier minority area.First,strengthen the ideological and political work on the students.Second,carry out the education of the socialist core values.Third,strengthen the ideal and belief education in a wide and profound way.Fourth,enrich the campus cultural activities in many forms and scales.
