Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools is new in the field of education sinceChina’s reform and opening. It has developed very rapidly and now has become animportant form of Chinese international education cooperation and exchanges especially inthe last decade. After China’s accession to WTO, it has a profound impact on thedevelopment of education to meet the diverse educational needs of the people. With theinternationalization of education, Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools hasdeveloped gradually to wider areas, greater ranges and higher levels. In recent years,Sino-foreign cooperative education in high schools is gradually increased, but there weremany problems in the process of development. On the use of educational administrationand management concepts and knowledge learned in school, this article will focus on acommon high school-Soochow University High School in Jiangsu Province. Throughresearch, comparison and other methods to analyze the current situation of theSino-Canada Program in Soochow University High School, the author finds the mainproblems that exist in the program and puts forward practical measures and suggestions:Improving the Joint Education policies and regulations, strengthening the school systemconstruction; optimizing course structure, building a "Chinese-Western" Course features;strengthening the students’ management, attracting more high-level students’ joining in;developing a stable team of excellent teachers. Finally, the author prospects the future ofSino-foreign cooperation in running schools in Suzhou area.
