Research On Chinese Media Reports On LGBTI Athletes During The Rio Olympics

For a long time,the issue of the OCOG for LGBTI athletes has taken a open attitude,but it still can't completely reverse the stereotype of many people,rejection and disidentification with the LGBTI crowd.Seoul summer Olympics in 1988,the Robert equestrian athletes,he openly gay identity,as star athlete he did make LGBTI in more and more heart began to "release".This research through to analyze the news reports from the Chinese media involving LGBTI athletes during the Rio Olympics,and find out the laws and characteristics of LGBTI cultural phenomena in the spread,found that the mass media's influence on audience psychology,thus found existing in the Chinese media reported in LGBTI topic of advantages and disadvantages.At present,there are many researches on LGBTI groups,but the research on the gender issues of sports news is not perfect.This research will be from the perspective of communication studies and sociology to discusses LGBTI issue in current China's mass media communication and culture,find out the characteristics and laws,so as to enrich the research in this field.This research adopts literature research and content analysis and case study method,discourse analysis and the analysis of news discourse,stereotypes and gender stereotypes,analysis framework and the agenda-setting theory,to explore Chinese media reported for LGBTI athletes during the Rio Olympics.focusing on analysis of South Africa,the runner Simon the British divers Daly and British hockey player Helen-Richardson-Walsh and Kate-Richardson-Walsh's story.Finally,this study from the negative tendencies of reported issues,news narrative Angle of view,unbalanced structure three aspects discusses the Chinese media in reporting involves LGBTI identity problems existing in the news of athletes,From China's official and private for LGBTI attitude,the influence of sports on athletes,LGBTI athletes themselves as three aspects: research the main factors influencing the Chinese media and wade LGBTI sports news,combined with the results of the study on the status quo of China's sports media and wade LGBTI athlete sports news the thinking and enlightenment is obtained.
