University is the most important and critical period in the process of personal growth,affecting the formation of the world outlook,outlook on life and values of the students.After entering university,due to the obvious change of living environment,learning style,interpersonal relationship and so on,many freshmen are confronting the problem of adaptability.If not well solved,it will affect their healthy growth in university.In a series of adaptability problems,learning adaptability has become the most urgent problem that needed to be solved.For a long time,to deal with the freshmen’s learning adaptability,the common practices of colleges and universities in China are using the professional education of admission stage and the class atmosphere construction and other measures to promote the transformation of new learning concept to adapt to college teaching mode,but this kind of unilateral teaching infusion is too formal and over-collective,which can not fully attend to the actual needs of the freshmen who have learning adaptability difficulties,leaving the real problems unsolved.However,group social work,through group experience,establishes mutual support to assist the individual member of the group to share and use other ways to enhance their social functions.Therefore,the introduction of social workers in the group work,can not only effectively solve the problem of learning adaptability of the university freshmen,but also make up for the lack of political education.This study adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire,interview method and experimental research method,through the review of relevant literature,the author acquires a detailed and comprehensive understanding of freshmen’s learning adaptability.Based on Feng Tingyong’s book "College Students’ learning adaptability scale",in the form of questionnaire surveys and interviews,the author gives an analysis of the current university freshmen’s learning adaptability through five aspects:learning motivation,teaching mode,learning ability,learning attitude and environmental factors.And according to the questionnaire feedback,the author designs the learning content of the learning growth groups accordingly.Group activities were carried out seven times to test freshmen’s learning adaptability,with some targeted intervention.At the same time,the author establishes a control group,members of which without any intervention,to compare with the experimental group effect.After seven times of group activities,the author makes a contrast between the pre-test and post test results of the university freshmen’s learning adaptability situation,and compares the intervention effect between the experimental group and the control group.Based on a comprehensive comparison of the data,the author concludes and reflects on the results of intervention effectiveness of social work method on university freshmen’s learning adaptability,thus provides a new perspective for solving problems of social work intervention in University Freshmen’s learning adaptability in the future.
