The Influence And Guidance Of The Phenomenon Of The Native Associations Of Ethnic University Students In Ethnic Universities And Colleges

The universities and colleges for ethnic nationalities have long since taken formal groups as the key objects of ideological and political education on students,while ignore the management and guidance of informal groups.For ethnic universities and colleges’ students come from wide and partial areas and have the complicated ethnic composition and the uneven overall quality,affecting the overall quality of the formal group and the effect of ideological and political education in universities for nationalities.As the common informal groups on college campuses,natives association of ethnic university students is exist objectively which seems to be the supplement of the formal groups.It shows typical characteristics such as ethnic,cultural identity and complexity,which not only affects the function of formal groups including the organizations of classes and Youth League and others,but also brings some negative effects such as the undermining of “normal order” in group interaction,the dilution of "positive energy" during the dissemination of information and the crack of “circle” that is order to take care of each member.The worst is it is not conducive to the cultivation of Minority College Students’ interpersonal communication,social adaptation and collectivism values.From the view of the reasons for its formation,native associations of ethnic university students will neither political development goals,nor corresponding rights and obligations.Its existence depends on the demand of minority students’ diversity.With Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory to analyze the reason of it’s’ formation,it mainly is the necessary of emotional sustenance,cultural adaption and growing care.However,all these subjective needs are only temporary.With the time passing by and the adaption to campus life,the native association of ethnic university students will eventually gradually not be needed.Facing the present situation and the negative impact of the phenomenon of native associations of ethnic university students,the ideological and political education in colleges and universities for nationalities should be combined with practice and face the phenomenon of their existence.It also should discover why this phenomenon is existed repeatedly and weaken the side effects and negative influence.There are some constructive suggestions as follows: firstly,it should fully carrying out the spirit of the related documents of college students’ education and management in ethnic universities and colleges,and focus on promoting national theory and national policy into their heart and further on strengthen the learning and education of national theories and policies,particularly to guide them to correctly understand the preferential policies for minorities made by CPC.Secondly,it should strengthen the education and guidance of the central figures in the associations and by using them to master the thought and development of the whole association,in order to play the positive role of ideological and political education on students in ethnic universities and colleges.Thirdly,it should encourage and support the development of formal groups that comply with the requirements of the formal group management and serve to the ideological and political education on college students,which to replace the function of native associations.Lastly,we should enrich and innovate the campus’ cultural activities which can promote the national unity,and improve the pertinence and effectiveness of the ideological and political education of minority college students.
