Objective:Serum osteocalcin is a key hormone in energy metabolism. Its lack may lead to energy metabolism disorder, insulin resistance, obesity, diabetes etc.The researcher recruited healthy and obesity groups in the different genders and ages to analyze the changes of serum osteocalcin,Serum index, homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance, age, gender,BMI,menopause and physical activity.Trying to find the correlation between serum osteocalcin and these indicators. The purpose is to provide suggestions on preventing metabolism diseases in different health human. Methods:In this study,189 subjects were recruited by filling out the questionnaire by asking face to face.Among them,73 healthy men and 68 healthy women subjects aged between 10 and 69 years old were recruited from Zhongguancun Hospital Medical Center in Haidian District,Beijing. In the Chinese Academy of Sciences,18 women subjests aged between 40 and 59 years old were randomly recruited and divided into normal weight group, overweight group and obese group. In the Sports Science and Health College of the Capital university of physical education and sports,30 man subjests aged between 20 and 29 years old were randomly recruited to physical activity test.A questionnaire survey was filled in on 189 subjects for age, sex, menopausal status, physical activity, sleep status, dietary structure, disease history and surgical history and divided 204 subjects into age, gender,BMI,menopause, physical activity and other different groups.Firstly, fast status and extraction of elbow venous blood 5-10ml.Secondly,after extraction of serum, the levels of serum osteocalcin and fasting insulin were measured by Electrochemiluminescence method.Endoscopic method was used to detect the contents of blood lipids and fasting blood glucose. The BMI and homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance were calculated by the corresponding formula.Differences in serum osteocalcin levels in different groups and correlation analysis of serum osteocalcin and other indicators were analyzed using SPSS20.0.Results:1.In all age groups of men, there were significant differences in serum osteocalcin levels between the 10-19 year group and the 20-29 year old group, the 30-39 year group, the 40-49 year old group, the 50-59 age group, and the 60-69 year old group. There were significant differences in serum osteocalcin levels between the 20-29 year old group and the 40-49 age group, the 50-59 age group and the 60-69 age group. In the female age groups, there were significant differences in serum osteocalcin levels between the 10-19 age group and the 20-29 year group, the 30-39 year group, the 40-49 year old group, the 50-59 age group and the 60-69 year old group. There were significant differences in serum osteocalcin levels between the 20-29 year old group and the 30-39 year group, the 40-49 year old group, the 50-59 age group and the 60-69 year old group. There was a significant negative correlation between serum osteocalcin level and age.2.There was no significant difference in osteocalcin level between different sexes in the same age group.3.There was a significant negative correlation between BMI and serum osteocalcin in male and female healthy population aged 10-69.And there was also a significant negative correlation between BMI and serum osteocalcin in subjects with BMI grouping.4.There was no significant difference in serum osteocalcin between low, medium and high intensity physical activity groups, and had no significant correlation with serum osteocalcin.5.There was no significant difference in serum osteocalcin levels between menopausal women and premenopausal women.6.In 10-69 years old healthy population(73 males and 68 females),there was a significant negative correlation between TG,LDL-C and serum osteocalcin in male healthy subjects and a significant positive correlation between HDL-C and serum osteocalcin,no significant correlation between TC and serum osteocalcin;Among male healthy subjects, there was a significant positive correlation between TG and serum osteocalcin in male subjects aged 40-49 years, and there was a significant positive correlation between HDL-C and serum osteocalcin in subjects aged 50-59.In women, there was a significant negative correlation between TC,TG,LDL-C and serum osteocalcin, and there was a significant positive correlation between TG and serum osteocalcin in female 30-39 age group. There was no significant correlation between TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C and serum osteocalcin in different BMI groups. There was no significant correlation between TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C and serum osteocalcin in premenopausal and postmenopausal.7.In 10-69 years old healthy population(73 males and 68 females),there was a significant negative correlation between male FPG and serum osteocalcin in male healthy subjects and there was no significant correlation between FINS,HOMA-IR and serum osteocalcin;Among male healthy subjects, there was a significant negative correlation between FPG and serum osteocalcin in male subjects aged 10-19 years old,and there was a significant negative correlation between HOMA-IR and serum osteocalcin in male subjects aged 50-59 years old.In women, there was a significant negative correlation between FPG and serum osteocalcin, and there was no significant correlation between FINS,HOMA-IR and serum osteocalcin; There was a significant negative correlation between FPG and serum osteocalcin in women aged 40-49 years. There was no significant correlation between FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR and serum osteocalcin in different BMI groups. There was no significant correlation between FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR and serum osteocalcin in premenopausal and postmenopausal.Conclusions:1.Age is a key factor on Serum osteocalcin.Serum osteocalcin will decrease with age increasing. No significant difference of Serum osteocalcin was found in sexes in the same age group.2.BMI is an another key factor on Serum osteocalcin.Serum osteocalcin will decrease with its increasing.3.Serum osteocalcin in the premenopausal group is higher than postmenopausal one.4.The intensity of physical activity isn't significantly associated with Serum osteocalcin.5.Serum osteocalcin is associated with energy metabolism.6.There was no correlation between serum osteocalcin and FINS and HOMA-IR in healthy population.
