With the environmental problems has become increasingly prominent,environmental education has been attached great importance by the world’s governments of many countries.As biological curriculum is a discipline which closely related to the environmental education,it involves a large number of environmental educational contents and cases.Therefore,how to carry out environmental education efficiently in biology teaching is a considerable issue for every biology teacher.As high school stage is a critical period of environmental education,it is important for the growth of the students and the formation of the environmental awareness.So the quality and level of high school environmental education directly affects the environmental quality of our citizens.The Senior High School Biology Curriculum Standard(experimental draft)stressed in " the implementation and recommendation " that "full use and development of biological curriculum resources,is to adapt to the requirements of curriculum reform,and to achieve an important manifestation of quality education".As local resource is an important part of curriculum resources,it contains great potential courses.Therefore,this study chooses the theme "the research of using local resources to develop environmental education in biology teaching ",relying on the rich local resources of Jishishan County,and collecting the resources of environmental education curriculum.Then the author put it into practice in R high school in Jishishan County.Firstly,in this study,the author first read a lot of literature,analyze the current development and research status of foreign and domestic environmental education.Then,the author mainly uses the method of questionnaire survey,the interview investigation and the observation to study the high school students of class(2),(3),(11)and(12)for two times.The author also conducted a study on biology teachers before the practice of "environmental education status of R secondary school ",and analyzed and summarized the present situation of education in R secondary.Secondly,according to the environmental education status of R secondary school,the author put forward the principles and methods in the development and utilization of local resources in biology teaching,and developed the local resources of environmental education which is available,then the author integrating some relevant environmental education content in "the steady state and environment" in high schoolbiology textbooks(compulsory three).Thirdly,the author carries out the teaching practice of the combination of the local resources in the four classes,and then carries on the questionnaire,the interview and the observation to the students of the above four classes after the practice.Finally the author analyze and make the conclusion on the practice.We make the conclusion by this research:(1)The integration of local resources and textbook content of environmental education improve the students’ environmental knowledge,awareness and behavior capacity and other comprehensive environmental quality effectively;(2)The integration of local resources and textbook,this teaching method of environmental education has been endorsed by other biological teachers of the subject,as well as the positive response of the students in the class,which obviously improves the students’ efficiency of learning and the interests of studying environmental knowledge;(3)The research cultivate the feelings of students to love and construct a beautiful hometown;(4)The environmental education practice of the integration of local resources and textbook content fully proved to achieve the comprehensive improvement and development of students’ environmental quality,we need to pay more attention to the curriculum concept of the link with the real life.Only the teaching will be linked with the real life will we mobilize students the activity to learn the environmental education and to achieve the ultimate goal of environmental education.
