| Textbooks are important resources for curriculum in school education and main tools that teachers rely on." Geography Curriculum Criteria for Full-time Compulsory Education(Draft)"(hereinafter referred to as old criteria)was published over 10 years ago and many different geography textbooks were compiled based on that criteria,including the one published by People' s Education Press.In 2012,Geography Curriculum Criteria for Full-time Compulsory Education(2011 edition)was published with the development of times(below in new standard),and a new edition of geography textbook published by People' s Education Press was put into use in 2013 fall.In order to discover the characteristics of the new textbooks,this paper focuses on surface system comparison on two criteria and changes in geography of China in both editions published by People' s Education Press(namely the geography textbook for grade eight in spring term). |
