Interest was a kind of active psychological state of individual to be fond of certain activities or strive to explore,recognize something.It might affect the activity efficiency of individual directly,such as the attention processing,target selection,cognitive engagement,emotion and feeling of individual etc.In a study activity,interest played an important role,and is the internal motivation for student's learning.Practices proved that if there was no conscious desire for study,effects would not be received even though the teacher taught them much useful knowledge.Art curriculum was a compulsory course at the stage of compulsory education.As the rising of quality teaching,art teaching was brought to the forefront gradually.Interest was the key for whether the art teaching could be organized orderly and good effects could be obtained.Art Curriculum Criteria(2011)defined that interest was one of the basic driving forces for art learning definitely.To make students generate lasting enthusiasm for art learning,various kinds of teaching resources and leaning methods shall be mobilized by teachers in art teaching to stimulate students' learning interest.The life-long education idea also required that primary education should focus on student's learning interest study,and believed that education should run through life long and respect individual interest and personality.Therefore,leaning interest study shall be concerned.However,in rural areas,teachers attached importance on knowledge and skills instructing in art teaching,but ignored the enthusiasm of students to participate in leaning actively.They did not mobilize the leaning interest of students.The teaching form was simple and evaluation system was unclear.The teachers took personal aesthetic taste as the main evaluation method,and cramming education was used in the teaching process.The students took lessons passively.Additionally,since teaching resources were deficient in rural schools and it was short of full-time art teachers,art teaching was undertaken by part-time art teachers,thus,even the skill instructing may not be ensured.In such courses,self-learning and copying became the theme.Furthermore,primary and secondary school education was affected by exam-oriented education for a long term and academic burden was heavier and heavier for students at junior middle school stage.The art curriculum,which was not an exam subject,was ignored naturally and virtually.Since junior middle school students were exactly at the adolescence,which is a sharply declining stage,interest teaching shall be strengthened more in art teaching.This paper took theoretical study as the basis to analyze the objective and meaning of leaning interest.Furthermore,it took literature review for leaning interest studies in China and abroad.With combination of teaching activity,observation method,questionnaire method,literature research method and other research methods were used.Additionally,it focused on analysis and experience summary of textbooks,curriculum criteria,related concepts,physical and mental development characteristics of students,and strived to seek ways and means to strengthen students' learning interests in art teaching of rural junior middle schools,so as to form a set of strategies to stimulate students' learning interests in art teaching practices of rural junior middle schools.This study was developed from three aspects generally.First,through survey,study and analysis of art teaching in rural junior middle schools,it summarized the currently existed problems of art teaching in rural junior middle schools.With combination of theoretical study,it analyzed the necessity of interest teaching to art teaching in rural junior middle schools.Secondly,it summarized the teaching principles and attention points of interest pedagogy with combination of theories and practices.Finally,it illustrated the application of interest pedagogy in rural junior middle schools through specific cases design.
