Ever since 2004 when Ministry of Education launched the new national curriculum standard,that education should return to the living world has become an important direction of basic education reform.Ideological and political course in high school being an important part of elementary education,life-oriented teaching of ideological and political course is the requirement of quality education in senior high school political lesson and of new curriculum standard on specific subject.Life-oriented teaching of ideological and political is conductive to improving students’ practical ability,arousing their innovative spirit as well as promoting their developments in various aspects,such as knowledge,ability,emotion,attitude and values,that is,promoting the overall development of students’ comprehensive quality.Now there is still a great gap between ideological and political lesson teaching and teaching adaptation requested by new curriculum standard,which has been manifested in various aspects including teaching idea,teaching goal,teaching content,teaching process,teaching methods and teaching evaluation,etc.Therefore,the author thinks there is necessity to study current life-oriented teaching of politics in high school.The thesis undertakes study mainly by using an empirical method,to be specific,to study the status quo of life-based teaching in ideological and political course in several high schools by virtue of questionnaires and data analyses,in an efforts to point out its achievements and shortcomings,explore the causes and to propose scientific and feasible optimizing countermeasures.The paper is divided into four parts.In the first part,the development tendency of life-oriented teaching of ideological and political course is pointed out based on a review of related researches at home and abroad.The second part is to overview life-oriented teaching of ideological and political course in terms of its connotation,characteristics and theoretical basis.In the third part,the first step is to design questionnaire according to five dimensions——teaching idea,teaching material,teaching content,teachingprocess and teaching evaluation;then the author will collect,sort out and analyze the opinions and ideas of both teachers and students on life-based teaching of ideological and political course;and next further analyze the difference of those ideas and causes of it between teachers and students from different dimensions.Finally,the main content of the fourth part is to put forward the optimizing measures for the existing problems and in light of the causes of shortcomings mentioned in the third part,including to set up the scientific ideas of the life-oriented teaching,to enrich the materials and contents of life-oriented teaching,to newly establish a kind of democratic,interactive and cooperative relation between teachers and students,to promote active,discovering and cooperative styles in learning,to apply various teaching methods comprehensively,to adopt diversified ways to evaluate teaching.In a word,all measures above is to promote the development and improvement of life-oriented teaching of ideological and political course.
