A Study On The Social Communication Ability Improvement Team Work Of The Disabled Elderly

The proportion of the elderly with a disability among the socially disadvantaged groups is increasing.According to the data of the second China Disabled Population Survey in 2007,disabled elderly aged 60 or over account for 53.24% of the disabled population in the country.With the increase in the proportion of their groups,the needs and problems of the elderly with disabilities have gradually received attention.The disabled elderly have the dual attributes of old age and disability,as well as dual disadvantages,and belong to the disadvantaged group among the disadvantaged groups.Due to the physical dysfunction of the disabled elderly,their psychological state is more sensitive and fragile,which directly affects the social interaction of the disabled elderly.The disabled elderly has the features of social interaction of appears to be closed and marginalized.The ability of social communication is gradually weakened.In the long run,it will inevitably affect the mental health of the disabled elderly,accelerate the physiological aging of the disabled elderly,and form a vicious cycle.At this stage,China's methods for improving the social interaction ability of the elderly with disabilities are still in the exploratory stage.Although social work has been involved in theoretical research in this field,there is no actual intervention research on the improvement of the social communication ability of the elderly with disabilities less.Based on the above background,this study selects the XHY community in City B as the observation and research site,and understands the living conditions and needs of the elderly with disabilities in the community through interviews;and screens out five disabled elderly with social communication capacity improvement needs as the main service targets.According to the survey.The root causes of insufficient social communication ability are lack of selfidentity,weak social communication network,and low community participation.In view of the above,this study conducted group work interventions on five service subjects from three levels: correcting the psychological state and cognition of social communication,establishing a social communication network,and promoting community participation.The evaluation shows that the social interaction level of the service target has been improved to varying degrees.The passiveness of social communication and the lack of social communication networks have been solved to a certain extent.The group work method has improved the social communication ability of the disabled elderly.Promoting the improvement of the quality of life of the elderly with disabilities has played a positive role.Combining the whole practice process and results,this research has reflected on the issue of group work involving the improvement of social interaction ability of the elderly with disabilities.Finally,on the basis of summarizing the effects of reflective services,the author concludes: first,the elderly with disabilities have social communication needs and need social work to improve their intervention;second,group work Ability has good applicability.Third,the improvement of the social communication ability of the elderly with disabilities needs to be carried out in combination with themselves,families,communities,and social workers to jointly improve the social communication ability of the service targets.
