Marx's Critique Of Stirner's Egoism

Stirner is an important member of Young Hegelianism.His book The Ego and Its Own developed Hegel's pure speculative philosophy to the top.In this work,Stirner systematically expounds egoism and creates a unique "egoist of self consistency" in his own unique way in order to transcend all the old metaphysics."Egoist of self consistency" is regarded as the ultimate goal of all historical development.In order to realize the interests of "egoist of self consistency",the existence of religious,national,social and other communities must be eliminated.Stirner's self-interest thought had a great influence at that time.It also became the necessary link of Marx's criticism and Transcendence in the German Ideology,and the establishment of the historical materialism based on the realistic individual.The main difference between Marx and Stirner lies in their understanding of human beings.Marx clearly points out that Steiner's "egoist of self consistency" and Feuerbach's "class" have the same way,both are abstract and nihilistic concepts.This paper tries to find out that Marx's criticism of Stirner's egoism is mainly in the following five aspects: the criticism of the egoist's personal growth stage,the criticism of the evolution of social historical form under the main line of egoism,the criticism of the internal logic of “ egoist of self consistency”,Criticism on the self realization of “ egoist of self consistency” and the nihilism caused by egoism.Marx's transcendence of Stirner is mainly reflected in his transcendence of "egoist of self consistency" and "egoist alliance" with "realistic individual" and "communist society".On this basis,Marx cleared up the previous philosophical beliefs and finally realized the transformation of the old metaphysics;broke the ideological obstacles on the development path of the communist movement,reminded people to set up the correct values and choose the right way of self realization with a materialist attitude;for the resistance to extreme egoism and nihilism and other bad values The spread of contemporary China still has important implications.
