The internationalization of protection of Human Rights has become one of symbols of the progress of human.The establishment of the Universal Periodic Review provides a platform for China to participate in the practice of international human rights.Though acceptance and participation in other countries' universal periodic review,it enforces cooperation of international protection of Human Rights between China and the United Nations,and perfects the self-cognition over the issues of Human Rights,and further improve the level of protection of Human Rights.China has hitherto received twice UPR,which involves five major Human Rights.In this paper,it will mainly emphasize on the problems associated with protection of the rights of special groups,namely,the group of women,children,the elderly,the disabled and the minority groups.With the development of social economy,Chinese Government has incorporated the rights of special groups in the general planning for national economic and social development,and has achieved a breakthrough.Besides,in the second UPR report,China clearly pointed out the measures,the progresses,existing problems and improvement directions for the protection of special groups.And China also made voluntary commitment to the protection of special groups' rights and responses to the issues raised by the parties.This paper systematically analyses the development and problems China made in the protection of Special groups' rights from the perspective of the UPR,and put forward suggestions to further improve the way of protections and the methods to deal with the third review,in order to successfully provide reference for receiving a new round of the UPR.
