A Study Of College Students Volunteer Service Under The Perspective Of Cultivating Civic Virtue

Citizen virtue is an important content for colleges and universities to cultivate talents,and nurturing citizen virtue is an important goal of ideological and political education.Volunteerism is a practical activity that promotes virtue and virtue and spreads truth,goodness and beauty.It can guide college student volunteers to pursue the life of stressing virtue,respecting virtue,and keeping virtue.Based on the questionnaire survey and case analysis of volunteer service in some colleges and universities in Wuhan,this article discusses the role of volunteer service in cultivating the virtues of college student volunteers and its existing problems.By analyzing the cause of the problem,it proposes solutions to improve volunteer service,To provide a development direction for better cultivating the virtues of college student volunteer citizenship.The full text mainly discusses from three aspects.First,it explains the concepts and characteristics of college students' voluntary service and civic virtue.Volunteer service for college students is a social practice activity in which college students voluntarily provide services to society for free within a certain period of time.It has the characteristics of unpaid,voluntary,continuous and practical.Citizen virtues are good qualities and abilities such as patriotism,dedication,integrity,and friendliness that citizens should possess or consciously demonstrate in their active participation in the public life of society The cultivated ones have obvious publicity and public participation.On this basis,combined with the case of volunteer service,it demonstrates the role of volunteer service in cultivating the internal psychology and external behavior of college student volunteer civic virtue from the theoretical level.,To enhance the emotional experience of virtue,temper the virtue of virtue,strengthen the belief of virtue,and promote the sustainable development of virtue behavior.Secondly,the survey found that there were no clear and specific requirements for virtues before volunteer service began;in the process of volunteer service,college student volunteers have a poor experience of practicing virtues,their will is volatile,and their beliefs are not firm;After the service is over,university student volunteers often neglect self-reflection,virtue cognition fails to deepen,and virtue behavior fails to continue to develop.Based on the analysis of the status,the problem of volunteer service in cultivating the virtues of college student volunteers lies in the diverse motivations of college student volunteer services but the lack of awareness of the needs of virtues.The recognition of virtues of college student volunteers is generally clear but insufficient in depth.Lack of emotional cultivation of virtues,optimistic attitude of college student volunteers,but the steadfastness of virtues,the virtues of college student volunteers,the mainstream of virtues is better but needs to be strengthened and consolidated,the virtues of college student volunteers are strengthened,but continuous cultivation is insufficient.Combined with data analysis,it is found that the cause of the problem is that volunteer service lacks a clear goal of cultivating civic virtues,volunteer service organizations ignore the emotional experience of volunteers,college student volunteers lack moral reflection on volunteer service,and the moral assessment link of volunteer service is not perfect.Finally,combined with the actual situation of volunteer service,the countermeasures for cultivating the virtues of college student volunteers are proposed.Clarify the goal of civic virtue cultivation of volunteer service,build a strong emotional atmosphere of volunteer service,guide college student volunteers to conduct moral reflection on volunteer service,and improve the moral assessment link of volunteer service.
