Chinese Migration To Italy Past And Recent Development

In recent years,the topic of immigration in Italy has been under the spotlight and has become a very hot topic.Many scholars,politicians and common people are very concerned about the problem that is gaining day-by-day more importance.My thesis focuses on the Chinese migrants in Italy seen the great number that nowadays my country is hosting.The reasons that motivated me to analyze the phenomenon is the fact that although the Chinese Community is today a heavy presence and well organized one since years,as a fact of live,still generate suspects among Italians.Certainly,could be stressed as main reason the lack of interchange between the two groups and hence,integration is the biggest issue I intend to solve.Core of my work is the Fifth chapter where I am going to picture the figure of the Chinese migrant and his situation in Italy.The way he lives,what kind of struggles had to face as soon as he arrived to Italy and what other difficulties is still facing.Try to analyze the reasons that prevent him to integrate with the host society and vice versa drawing up the image of the Chinese migrant in the eyes of Italians.Hence,I believe that Italy needs more people who are willing to study the phenomenon and try to deal with that.Hence,aim of this work is to help those people to better integrate themselves into the Italian society trying to find suitable and possible solutions to make cohabitation and mutual understanding a reality.
