Research On The Theory And Practice Of The Party’s Mass Line In Yanan Period

Along with the introduction of the mass line and the importance attached to mass work,the Party carries out many practical explorations on the mass line in the encirclement of White Terror in the Soviet Areas of Jiangxi.The following measures have strengthened the relationship between the party and the masses.For instance,ensure the livelihood of the masses by paying attention to the development of industry and agriculture,mobilize mass elections to expand mass political participation,carry out Labor Culture Education to improve the cognitive level of the masses,lay stress on the investigation and study of the Party and government personnel to set up a good work style.After the Long March,the Party Central Committee settled in northern Shanxi.The Party abandoned the left-wing policy,united with all forces that could be united,and further launched the mass line in the revolutionary struggle.For whom,who rely on,and how to do,refer to the purpose of the revolution,the strength to rely on,the working methods to complete the revolutionary task.The Party sets up the value concept of serving the people,lays emphasis on the unity between the army and the people,accept the supervision of the people,depend on the people to start the revolutionary cause,and put the mass line into practice.Besides,the Party leads people to carry out democratic elections,reduce rent and lower the interest rate,discharge inefficient officers and reduce administrative work,focus on judicial mediation,and maintain the style of research and investigation,so that the border regions acquire a completely new outlook.After the mass work is carried out,the economic living standard,culture and education level,medical and health level of the masses have been greatly improved.In the meanwhile,backward feudal etiquette and decadent social atmosphere have gradually disappeared.The fulfillment of the mass line in the Yanan period enhanced the masses’ political identity with the Party.The masses sustained the development and deepening of various undertakings in the border areas.The revolutionary forces were enormously reinforced,which laid the foundation for the victory of the War of Liberation.Now the role of the party has changed from revolution to governance.The mass line has distinct characteristics of the times,so that its practice mode in different periods has the distinctive historical motivation.Therefore,after analyzing the complicated factors of the actualization the mass line brought about by these changes,this thesis elaborates the practical predicament of the mass line and attempts to avoid the ultra-left and ultra-right mass line.On the basis of the historical experience of the mass line in Yanan period,this thesis aims to perfect the practical path of the mass line.
