Case Intervention Of Community Correction For Juvenile Offenders

With the development of economy,a series of contradictions and problems in social life have become increasingly serious and prominent.On the issue of juvenile delinquency and punishment in our country,the number of juvenile delinquents in the criminal population has increased year by year,and the age level of the crime is on the low side.The punishment system has also entered a period dominated by non-custodial punishment from the stage dominated by custodial punishment.After the promotion of community correction system nationwide,various regions began to explore the applicability of community correction,a non-custodial penalty method,in local areas,and achieved certain results.However,with the comprehensive promotion of community correction system,the deep-seated contradictions accumulated under the old thinking system of controlling and maintaining stability are also emerging.The quality and effect problems of community correction are becoming increasingly prominent,which seriously affects the healthy development of the subsequent re-socialization of community prisoners,as well as the development of community correction system and the perfection of the system.Under the background of the comprehensive promotion of community correction system,this study uses the theories of social signs,deviance,stigma and social support theory in social work,starting from the individual juvenile offenders,through the action research method of case management mode,to adjust the psychology and emotion of juvenile offenders,to build a perfect social support network,to help juvenile offenders to enhance their social adaptability,and thus to achieve the goal of re-socialization of community prisoners.The study found that the implementation effect of community correction is affected by the following four aspects: the defects of the community correction system itself,the conflict between the actual operational objectives and policy objectives,the limited level of professional staff,and the unfriendly community atmosphere to community prisoners.In order to resolve these contradictions and conflicts,help community inmates accept community correction and truly realize the goal of re-socialization,the study puts forward the following four suggestions: toincrease the tilt of policy funds,to strengthen the two-way communication between actual operation and policy objectives,to enhance the professional ability of correction staff,and to create a social atmosphere of respect and friendship.
