Study On The Old-age Security Of The Losing-single-child Family In China

In the early 1980 s,in order to strengthen population control,our Party and country proposed a family planning policy.The core content of the policy is that a couple can only have one child.Years of practice have proved that this policy has played an important role in limiting population,alleviating economic and social pressures,but it has led to the emergence of many one-child families in society.However,when parents from one-child family step into old age,the only child will take the enormous responsibilities of caring their parents.There are many uncertain factors in social life.The only child may lose his or her young life due to the impact of uncertain factors.Thus,the losing-single-child family is born.Parents in families who have lost their only child may have to bear enormous economic pressures at this time,and also face serious psychological trauma.According to relevant data,there are already more than one million the losing-single-child family in the society,and the number of those families may continue to increase in the future.The issue that we urgently need to consider is how to get effective pension security for the lost of one-child parents in the future.This paper mainly analyzes the status of the old-age security of the losing-single-child family,discusses the various realistic problems of such families in the old-age care,and analyzes the main causes of these real problems.Based on this,the author puts forward some countermeasure and proposal to solve the problem of the losing-single-child family provision for the aged.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part briefly introduce the background,the significance,the thinking and the methods of the research.The second part introduces the basic concepts involved in this paper,and states the balance of rights and obligations theory,Maslow's hierarchy of needs and social support theory.The third part lists the relevant policies of the losing-single-child family provision for the aged,and describes the current situation of the families in the old-age care,including economic status,social status and psychological status.The fourth part summarizes the main problems of the pension security of the losing-single-child family through the analysis of the status of the losing-single-child family,and generalizes the origin cause of formation,in order to illustrate the necessity of the pension security of the losing-single-child family.The fifth part proposes to improve the system of the pension security of the losing-single-child family.Starting from the four levels of laws and regulations,economic policies,pension services,and psychological assistance,this paper puts forward to improve the related system regulation,relax adoption policies,increase economic support,closely associate with charitable organizations,deepen the reform of pension institutions,promote the diversification of pension models,strengthen the responsibility of the government,give care and support from society,and stimulate the social worker strength.
