Research On The Promotion Of Economic Development By Zhongshan’s Shenwan Town Government Under The Background Of Late Development Advantages

Since the late development advantages was put forward in the 1960 s,domestic and foreign economists have made in-depth research on it and discussed how to use it in different levels of late-development areas,providing important development references for the economic and social development of such areas.Taking Shenwan Town of Zhongshan City,Guangdong Province as an example,from the perspective of government management to promote economic and social development,this paper expounds the status quo of Shenwan Town government’s function positioning and role in economic and social development,and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of county economy and Shenwan Town’s economic development respectively.And in the background of the late development advantages,the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to the Shenwan town government to promote economic development.Zhongshan City is a prefecture-level city with no counties(districts)in the country.The administrative functions of the towns are similar to the county level,and the development of the townships is very different.The problem of unbalanced economic development is very prominent.As a member of the last echelon,Shenwan Town has problems such as weak economic aggregate,low level of planning and guidance,unscientific land use,and insufficient talent reserves,which has greatly limited the momentum of subsequent economic development.In order to solve the above problems,this paper combines the theory of late development advantages with the promotion of economic development by the county(town)government,and analyzes the actual application of late development advantages in terms of ecology,technology,location,environment,and manpower.It also draws on the development experience of Ningbo Meishan Bay,Fusheng Town of Shaoxing,Zhejiang Province,and Pingsha Town of Zhuhai to realize the importance of macroeconomic regulation and control,industry orientation,publicity and promotion,market supervision and quality service for the economic development of the region.Based on the actual situation of the work,the author propose the suggestions to promote the economic and social development of shenwan town government from six aspects: strengthening macro-control,providing high quality service,enlarging the environment advantage,grasping the ecological advantage,focusing on improving the people’s livelihood,and strengthening the personnel construction.
