Feasible Path To Promote College Students’ Employment And Entrepreneurship From The Perspective Of The Nanjing Communist Youth League’s Functions

In recent years,China’s college education has gradually realized the transformation from the elitism to the popularization through the structural reform,which enable more young people to accept the college education.At the same time,China’s economic development has entered the "New Normal",the social structure has changed dramatically,the social competition has become increasingly fierce,and the employment of college students has drawn social attention.The report of the 19 th National Congress of CPC suggests that employment is the biggest livelihood for the people,and that the employment priority strategy and the positive employment policies should be adhered to to achieve higher-grade and full employment.As the Party’s assistant and reserve force,under the traditional guidance “when party has a call,there is an act”,the Communist Youth League should find ways to adapt to the new situation and to correctly look at the pressure faced by the youth in employment and entrepreneurship.It is also necessary to avail of its advantages,embark on urgent issues that the youth care about most,and further focus on the real demands during the youth’s growing up process,providing effective help and support for youth’s employment and entrepreneurship practices.All things mentioned above are inevitable requirements of the CYL to serve the party and the government,an important path to serve the youth’s growth,and a new valuable opportunity to participate in social management and public services to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the young people.This research considers how the CYL could serve college students on employment and entrepreneurship,from the perspective of the functions of the CYL and under the main background of the CYL work in Nanjing.It discusses how to use a variety of supportive measures for students’ employment and entrepreneurship work,how to coordinate the integration and optimize the allocation of social resources to provide a stable platform for youth’s employment and entrepreneurship,and how to maintain and represent the interests of the youth,in order to make an accomplishment in serving young people on employment and entrepreneurship.First,combining the theory of employment,labor market theory and public governance theory,as well as the functions and status of the CYL in China,it focuses on the main roles the CYL should play on this issue.Secondly,taking Nanjing as an example,it uses questionnaires to know the employment status of recent college graduates and their expectations.Finally,it gives suggestions on the feasible path that of the Nanjing CYL to give full play of its functions in order to promote college students’ employment and entrepreneurship.Innovation of this paper lies in: It breaks the bottleneck that the papers and articles with related topics that only analyzes current situations and summarizes experiences.Based on the theory of sociology and economics,it puts forward a more convincing research conclusion,through which compensates the domestic research in this field that relies on subjective experiences and lacks of systematic theoretical analysis.
