Research On Cadre Education In Yan’an Period

As a major party with more than 89 million Party members,the Communist Party of China must carry out cadre education in order to maintain its advanced and pure nature and enhance its long-term ruling ability and leadership level.Cadre education is not only an important way to improve the quality and professional ability of cadres,but also the key to strengthen the construction of the Party.Yan’an period is the most typical period in the history of cadre education of the Communist Party.It laid a solid foundation for the victory of the New Democratic Revolution and the establishment of New China.Therefore,it is necessary for us to explore the successful experience of cadre education in Yan’an period in order to contribute to cadre education in the new era.In 1935,Stalin said,"Talents and cadres are the most precious and decisive capital in the world.Under our present conditions,’cadres determine everything’.At the same time,Mao Zedong also pointed out that "cadres are the decisive factors after the political line is determined".These indicate the importance of cadres to the cause of the Party and the necessity of strengthening cadre education.Cadre education in Yan’an period is under the complex background of the severe political situation,the requirement of the development of Marxism in China,the cruel revolutionary reality and the development needs of the Communist Party itself.Through the way of school education and on-the-job education,cadres are educated in Ideological and political education,basic business,mass line and the national conditions of the Party history,so as to improve their theoretical literacy and career.The level of service has trained a cadre with both ability and morality for the New Democratic Revolution,promoted the complete victory of the New Democratic Revolution and the establishment of New China,promoted the development of the Sinicization of Marxism,and accelerated the formation of the Party’s three fine traditions and style of work as well as the spirit of Yan’an.On March 1,2019,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out in his speech at the opening ceremony of the training course for young and middle-aged cadres in the Central Party School that the Party’s historical experience and realistic development tell us that without the study of the whole Party University and the training of cadres,there will be no great development of the cause.In the new era,cadre education is stillan important work that the Communist Party must constantly do.With the high attention and active support of Party committees at all levels,organizations in various units actively carry out learning activities,and Party members and cadres actively participate in learning and training,and have made great achievements.However,we should also see the existing problems and shortcomings,such as the neglect of educational activities in the minds of a few cadres,the inadequate recognition of the importance of political achievements over learning,and the importance of practicality over theory;the inadequacy of the ability of a few cadres to adapt to the new situation;the corruption of a small number of cadres,especially senior cadres,and so on.In view of the shortcomings of cadres in the new era,this paper summarizes some good experiences from the study of the contents and methods of cadre education in Yan’an period,which can be used to guide cadre education in the new era.Ideologically,Party organizations at all levels,from the central to local,should attach great importance to cadres’ educational activities;in content,they should constantly enrich their contents in accordance with the requirements of the development of the new era;in methods,they should learn from the methods at that time and make innovations.On the basis of adhering to the combination of Party school education and on-the-job education,theoretical learning and practical education,collective learning and independent learning,they should also add.Enter the application of network technology and emerging media.Therefore,we should further carry out the educational practice of cadres in the new era,maintain the advanced and pure nature of the Communist Party,improve the long-term ruling ability,and then achieve the goal of consolidating the ruling position.
