As we all know,the private economy has played an important role in the development of China's economy.The Chamber of Commerce,which represents the power of the private economy,is also an indispensable micro social organization in the socialist market economic system.Since the reform and opening up,China's Chamber of Commerce has been developing more rapidly under the influence of political and economic environment.Therefore,this article takes the Yancheng Chamber of Commerce in Jiangsu Province as an example.By collecting relevant information and issuing questionnaires to study the problems in the development process.The specific performance includes,firstly,the external policy environment is not sound.Secondly,Chamber of Commerce management system is not smooth enough.Thirdly,Chamber of Commerce itself to undertake the lack of government functions,The last is part of the failure of the Federation of industry and Commerce and so on.Therefore,by using the theory of third departments and the theory of governance in public management,Mainly from the two perspectives of Chamber of Commerce and the local government.Analyzes the reasons for these problems,and puts forward that it is beneficial to the development ability of Chamber of Commerce in China and the whole of Chamber of Commerce.Suggestions for competitiveness.Firstly is to promote the construction of the legal system.Secondly is to build a new harmonious relationship between the government and the chamber of Commerce.Thirdly isto promote the organization of the chamber of Commerce to improve its own ability.The last one is to pay attention to the work of the Federation of industry and commerce.Based on the analysis of the present situation of the Yancheng Chamber of Commerce,this paper reference the development experience of the developed regional Chamber of Commerce domestic and abroad.Hopes to promote the progress of the local social and economic development through the development of the Yancheng Chamber of Commerce,and to provide some enlightenment for the weak development areas of other Chamber of Commerce in China.
