A Research On Female Status From The Perspective Of Two Kinds Of Production Theory

The two kinds of production theory that occupy an important position in the development history of marxism are the first great discovery of Marx and Engels and the core content of historical materialism,representing their most important theoretical contributions.The two kinds of production theory not only scientifically explain the evolution of human social forms,but also highly summarize the most general laws of human social development.The study of women’s issues has always been a hot topic of discussion among marxist feminist researchers at home and abroad,among which the phenomenon of women’s oppression and discrimination caused by the status of women is undoubtedly the most theoretical and realistic topic in women’s issues.The "two kinds of production" in the two kinds of production theory are the production of material materials and the production of human beings themselves.The production of material materials refers to the production of material means of life,namely food,clothes,housing and the necessary tools for this purpose,while the production of human beings themselves refers to the production and reproduction of human beings.In the early stage of human society,the production and reproduction of human beings play a restrictive role in the production of material means of livelihood.However,with the enrichment of material means of livelihood and the improvement of production efficiency,the production of material means of livelihood in turn restricts the production and reproduction of human beings.According to Engels’ discussion on the marriage and family system in his book family,private ownership and the origin of the state,the two kinds of production produce corresponding influences on the reform of the marriage and family system in different social stages.In the early stage of human society,the relations of production were attached to the development of family relations.Therefore,we can try to expose the decline of women’s status from the reform of marriage and family system,so as to draw the reasons for the evolution of women’s status,and make a scientific explanation for this reason.At present,the imbalance of two kinds of production theory mainly refers to the imbalance of the status of two kinds of production in the total social production,and the imbalance of distribution in social production and family production.In the process of achieving balanced development,it should be noted that unbalanced development is preparation for balanced development,and the true equality between men and women can only be achieved in the social stage of balanced development of two kinds of production.The ultimate goal of the development of human society is the free and all-round development of human beings.The discussion on the unbalanced development of the two kinds of production is helpful to reveal the reasons for the change of women’s status from high to low,analyze the social and historical root of women’s subservience gradually,and provide theoretical guidance for the comprehensive development of women’s freedom and the liberation of the whole mankind.
