On The Consular Protection Of Chinese Overseas Citizens

Since the reform and opening up,the number of Chinese citizens traveling overseas,studying abroad and settled has increased since the beginning of globalization.At the same time,overseas security incidents of Chinese citizens have also occurred continuously.The number of consular protection cases has surged,and the issues involved are very complicated.Difficulties in handling.Under such a background,the issue of the safety protection of overseas citizens has aroused widespread concern from all walks of life.The Chinese government has also followed the development of the situation and adopted a series of related measures in consular protection,initially establishing a consular protection mechanism in China.However,the time for the creation of such consular protection mechanism is still very short.There are still many things worthy of further improvement.Therefore,how to improve and improve China’s consular protection mechanism and better protect overseas citizens and their interests has become a frontage for the Chinese government.An important task is also an academic issue worthy of consideration and research.Starting from the global risk society background,this paper hopes to provide some useful enlightenment for improving the protection of consular systems to better protect the safety of Chinese overseas citizens.The first part of this paper is an overview of the background knowledge of the consular protection system.It sorts out the concept of the consular protection system,the characteristics of the consular protection system,the historical development of the Chinese consular protection system,the international law source of the consular protection system,and its human rights.The second part is the analysis of China’s consular protection prevention mechanism and emergency response mechanism.The third part is the current status of China’s current consular protection work.As well as the lack of analysis,the last part of this paper is based on the status quo and deficiencies of China’s consular protection,and proposes corresponding countermeasures for the improvement of China’s consular protection system,so that China can be built into a scientific and complete consular protection system at an early date.Better protect the interests of Chinese citizens abroad and demonstrate our great country style.
