Research On Social Work In Post-disaster Service

With the frequent occurrence of various major disasters in China in recent years,social work has been an emerging force in the post-disaster service by helping people stand on their own.Therefore,this thesis believes that research on the role of disaster social work should be based on real cases,only in which way can valuable theories be put forward and the significance of the research presented.The ideals of social work,specific operational recommendations of studies on social work intervention,and the improvement of relevant policies are put forward in this thesis through looking into relevant policies and the implementation of them.The thesis takes qualitative research-participatory observation and data collection as the researching method,and "8.25" fire in Harbin as an example to elaborate on the intervention process of social work.It analyzes the problems existing in the post-disaster social work intervention.Furthermore,it draws inspiration through the interpretation of the national policy and the existing experience of post-disaster service at home and abroad,and use social work principles and methods to propose the improvement of social support systems regarding post-disaster social work.Therefore,the research on post-disaster social work has great significance.It provides theoretical support to future social work intervention in post-disaster service and a complete system for such practice.It also bring post-disaster social work to its full potential,enable it to provide practical services in the field of disaster relief,and promote the all-round development of social work in China.
