The concept of elitism comes from modern Western countries and the concept product of a democratic political system. The theory of elites can be traced back to the ancient Greek period.Plato’s "philosophical king" rule is the earliest theory of elite rule.Elite theory has experienced of the development from traditional elite theory to modern elite theory. From the classical elite theory to the development of modern elite theory, recognizing the important role of elites in social development is the premise for scholars to study elite theory. However, many elite theoretical researchers have more enthusiasm for elite research in the definition, classification and discrimination of elites.Only a few scholars have studied from the perspective of elite relations,Richard Lachmann is in front. On the basis of human thought, the elite theory was innovated.Lachmann acknowledged the role of the elite and paid more attention to the relationship between the elites.Lachmann believed that the competition for power among the elites was an important factor in the formation of the country and built the political system.Lachmann’s theory of elite struggle has made an important supplement to Marx’s theory, and has carried out a new analysis of the formation of the state and the extraction of power. In the context of the current evolution of China’s political order, the study of elite struggle theory is applicable to the discussion of current political changes.China’s reform and opening up has cultivated a large number of industrial elites in the past 40 years. It is of great practical significance to study the Lachmann elite struggle theory on how to deal with the problems faced by emerging industry elites in the process of China’s reform.Through the literature survey method and the comparative research method,Marx’s elite model is compared with Lachmann’s elite model.By comparing the differences and connections between the two,Lachmann’s elite struggle theory is preliminarily sorted out.The thesis is divided into three parts: introduction, text and summary. The introduction part contains the research background and significance, the current research status and research structure and methods at home and abroad. The main part of the text is from theoretical overview, theoretical construction, theoretical interpretation and the evaluation of the theory, and finally summarize the Lachmann elite struggle.Through the investigation and exploration of historical materials,Lachmann concluded that the state is the stage for the elites who hold power, and the elites of different classes willchoose to cooperate or struggle between the dominant classes according to the choice of interests. The struggle between the elites shaped the changes in the political system, promoted the formation of the country, and promoted the development of the welfare of citizens. Therefore, the struggle between different elites within the ruling classes is the main influencing factor of political struggle. |
