Study On The Political Work Of The Armed Police Guard Service Squadron

As the final safeguard,the armed police guard service squadron shoulders the mission of implementing peripheral armed guard service outside the state-specified detention houses,recognized as an important part to carry out the concept of overall national security.This paper uses literature review,quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis,case study method and comparative study to go into the present situation of the political work in guard duty by the armed police squadron,mainly embodied in five aspects: a)soldiers are loyal and reliable while some individuals' political acumen is not strong;b)soldiers are dedicated while some individuals' duty ability is not aligned with job demand;c)the party branch works effectively while “a team of two teams” construction still needs to strengthen;d)cooperation between the police and the local is smooth while “Three Mutuals” activity in some squadrons is also floating on the surface;e)“Three Regular Works” is attached great importance while the promising present situation is tinged with worries.Based on the survey results as well as the Party's innovation theory and the basic principle of political work,a profound analysis of the causes of the weakening of political work in the service function of police squadron is as follows: a)some cadres' enterprise spirit and responsibility sense are weak,leading to the weak service guarantee function of political work;b)the weakening of the minority squadrons' Party branch organization causes its poor performance as fighting bastion;c)the low efficiency of “Loyal Guards” education in some squadrons results in unclear duties for officers and soldiers;d)the weak combat training cannot generate tenacious fighting spirit;e)the activity to “know and love soldiers” becomes a mere formality,leading to a insufficient contact between the internal part and the external one;f)the “Three Regular Works” are not integrated effectively,bringing about the ineffectiveness of political work.These causes above are related to all aspects of the guard service.According to the problems and causes,this thesis provides some measures as follows to improve the political work of the armed police squadron guard service: firstly,to strengthen the organization function by giving play to the “fighting bastion” role of Party branch;secondly,to strengthen the stimulant function so as to develop the responsibility sense of cadres;thirdly,to strengthen the education function by enhancing the guiding role of political education;fourthly,to strengthen the cohesion function by guaranteeing the service of political work and training;fifthly,to strengthen the persuasion function by better performing the communication and solidarity function of “Three Knows” activity;sixthly,to strengthen the regulation function by implementing “Three Regulars” policy.In addition,it is necessary to promote the “Three Mutuals” activity so as to reinforce the mass basis for guard service completion.
