An Empirical Study On Public Happiness Index Of Gaoming District Based On New Developmental Concepts

After nearly 40 years of reform and opening up,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a New Era and the comprehensive national strength has been greatly improved.In 2016,China’s GDP reached 74.4 trillion yuan,the second largest in the world,and its contribution to world economic growth exceeded 30percent.Although China’s economy has achieved impressive results,we must be aware that China’s unbalanced development,the gap between the rich and the poor and the lack of people’s livelihood are still prominent.According to the opportunities and challenges our country facing,the 19^thNational Congress of the CPC has converted that our social principal contradiction is the contradiction between unbalanced and inadequate development and the people’s ever-growing needs for a better life.And it also has clarified fundamentally that the initial mind and mission of the Chinese Communists are to strive for happiness for the People of China.At the national level,it means that China’s pursuit of economic and social development is aimed at meeting the growing needs of the people and the pursuit of happiness.Happiness is based on a certain amount of food and clothing,and in the social ecological environment,it has the elements,mechanism,dynamic life and living conditions that generate happiness.Each person has different understanding of happiness in different social environment,and the factors that affect social happiness are more complicated.With the rapid development of economy in our country,our social productivity level has been improved significantly.The level of development presents different differentiation,and there is obvious difference about the understanding and requirement of happiness among peoples living in different areas.At present,how to scientifically measure the happiness of people’s life has become an urgent problem to be solved.Since China is still in the primary stage of socialism,there are major variances of development stages and development situations in different provinces.In order to be more targeted to the public happiness index,this thesis researches from the aspects of happiness and satisfaction,collecting relevant survey data in Gaoming District,trying to build a more scientific and useful happiness index system.Based on the new development concepts“innovation,coordination,green development,opening up,and sharing”,the thesis is doing empirical research on the public happiness index in Gaoming,Foshan,focusing on the key factors that influence the public happiness index under the New Normal,trying to put forward some suggestions for local government to improve public happiness in the context of the New Era.
