Research On The Development Of Old-age Institutions From The Perspective Of Social Support Theory

Old-age care is related to the livelihood of a country.As the largest developing country in the world,China has a large population of elderly people and the ageing population has long since arrived.Old-age care has always been the focus of the people’s attention.In recent years,China’s economy has developed rapidly,and the trend of population aging has become more apparent.The problem of old-age care has become more and more severe and socialized pension has developed.The same is true in Urumqi.With the progress of this process,the number of various types of old people is also gradually increasing.This has added pressure on the construction and development of the elderly in this city.Institutional pension,as a kind of socialized old-age pension,is an important form of actively responding to the aging of the population.The object that supports this type of old-age pension is the old-age care institution.The old-age care institution is a social institution that provides care for the elderly and is an important part of the old-age care structure section.Through relevant data browsing and on-site investigation of a number of old-age care institutions in Urumqi,we learned that under the guidance of government policies and financial support,the old-age care institutions have achieved good results and have also received social recognition,but at the same time,the number of old-age institutions The problem of lack of management,chaotic management,shortage of funds,few old-age service projects,poor quality of service provided,and low service capacity are relatively prominent.This has affected the development of pension institutions and their ability to provide quality services to the community.This paper takes 32 pension institutions in Urumqi as the survey object.Based on field surveys,it describes the current situation of the development of the pension institutions in Urumqi,and clarifies the difficulties in the development process and explores the obstacles to the emergence of difficulties.From the perspective of social support theory,some strategies are proposed to promote the development of the city’s pension institutions.In my view,to promote the development of the Urumqi elderly care organization,the government should continue to play a leading role,continue tostrengthen the introduction of relevant policies and financial support,continue to guide the participation of social forces in the field of pension;social organizations should strengthen personnel training With regard to support,the pension institution itself also needs to improve its own development capabilities,attract professional talents,promote the professionalization of service teams,provide basic support for the family,and improve the multi-subjective support system consisting of the government,the market,social organizations and families.
