A Research On The Consular Protection Mechanism Of Overseas Investors

Under the promotion of "One Belt and One Road" strategy,the proportion of overseas investment of our country is soaring,wherein,the close contact between international trades and personnel makes overseas investors face increasing risks.At the same time,the increasingly complex international situation and the increasing demand for consular protection have higher requirements for consular protection of overseas investors in our country.Therefore,strengthening overseas investors' consular protection has become increasingly urgent.In accordance with the current implementation status of consular protection on overseas investors,based on analyzing the personal safety and property safety of overseas investors,we know that the consular protection mechanism of Chinese overseas investors has become a reliable guarantee for Chinese enterprises to "go out",which has made significant progress,but still faces many problems and challenges,such as imperfect protection mechanism,few early-warning and emergency plans,weak multi-participation and lack of manpower and expenditure.To solve these problems,we should actively learn from the advanced experience,conduct comparative study and refer to the overseas security mechanisms of overseas investors to objectively evaluate the shortcomings of China's current consular protection mechanism of overseas investors,and put forward some improvement suggestions on the future development of consular protection mechanism.In addition,we should perfect the relevant mechanisms for consular protection through the gradual improvement of our country's consular protection legislation,actively integrate social resources and expand the social participation of consular protection for overseas investors,establish the consular cooperation mechanism between China and the countries along the“One Belt and One Road",pay attention to the training of professional consular protection talents and increase the investment of special consular protection funds.,and try to set up a consular protection mechanism with Chinese characteristics for overseas investors of China,so as to improve the quality and efficiency of consular protection and services.
