The Research Of Consular Protection System

These years, more and more Chinese people and companies go abroad fordifferent reasons; it leads to a great need of the consular protection from Chinesegovernment. Meanwhile, they may face big risk in other countries, and since theinternational security issue is getting complicated, our government meets a bigchallenge on the consular protection. This issue is not only for China, other countriesover the world also meet these problems. Therefore, the research on consularprotection has a great meaning both in theory and practice.The first part of this thesis is about some background knowledge of the consularprotection system, including the concept, features, conditions and the effects of theconsular protection system. The second part is to introduce the international law aboutthe consular protection. The third part is the study of the consular protection system ofAmerica and Japan, to analyze their advanced regulations and systems. And the lastpart and also the most important part is about the protection system of our country,point out the shortage of the consular protection systems in China, and based on thestudy in part three, give some proposals for our country’s consular protection systemdevelopment.
