| Since the thawing of the Sino-Korean relationship in 1992,the political,economic,and cultural exchanges between the two countries have become more frequent.The Korean Chinese ethnic group has their own cultural capital and advantages.Labor,studying abroad,visiting relatives,transnational marriages,and other channels have led South Korea to engage in economic activities.In addition to increasing economic returns,it also brought about Korean fashion culture and formed a heavily-influenced Korean city in Yanji,the capital of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture,known as“Little Seoul".With the increase of purchasing power of the Korean Chinese people,people began to pursue a high-grade life.The quiet rise of the leisure consumer culture is changing the way of life and consumption of Yanbian Korean Chinese.Consumer goods,as a symbol of consumption,are the determining factor of consciousness and behavior in order to achieve the goal of conveying information.Especially in modern society,consumer culture is a mechanism that constitutes a personal and collective life style and self-realization.Therefore,consumer culture is closely related to interpersonal relationships and social relationships.This paper uses Yanji coffee shops as an example to focus on the Yanbian Korean Chinese coffee-consuming culture in order to prospect the Korean consumer culture orientation.The thesis framework consists of three parts:the preface,the main body,and the conclusion.The first chapter of the introduction focuses on the background and purpose of the topic selection,research status,research methods,research content,and research ideas.The second chapter clarifies the social background of the rise of coffee culture.China’ s reform and social transformation have greatly promoted the changes of Korean Chinese society.The Korean Chinese group’ s perception,lifestyle and family structure have undergone tremendous changes,especially from the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and South Korea.The improvement of national relations,the drive of economic interests,and the identification of ethnic cultures have accelerated the cross-border movement of Korean nationals and broadened their economic activities.The third chapter elaborates the spread and function of coffee culture.With the increase in Korean economic returns and purchasing power,the consumer culture has undergone major changes.The“luxury" coffee coming from the West has come to be a part of people’s everyday routine and continues to play a role in catering,leisure and social functions as well as physical and mental integration.The ever-increasing proliferation of coffee shops and the diversity of coffee cultures and changes in communication space are changing people’ s consumption patterns.The fourth chapter clarifies and interprets the consumption symbol of coffee culture through the phenomenal increase of coffee shops in Yanji City.Coffee culture remains a part of people’s daily life.The coffee culture is a part of people’s daily lives.Coffee is a popular drink that represents a concept of consumer culture.It also symbolizes people’s pursuit of new cultural demands.The diversity of coffee shops,the unique style of space design,and the richness of connotations reflect the Korean Chinese cultural pursuits of pursuing fashion and high quality of life.At the same time,there is a tendency to show off consumption and excessive consumption.Therefore,how to rationalize consumption is one of the major issues faced by Korean Chinese.The fifth chapter is the conclusion which summarizes the thesis. |
