China has been a big agricultural country since ancient times.By the end of 2016,the rural population in China was 58.973 million, accounting for 42.7%of the country’s total population. So rural governance is an extremely important and hot topic. There are three main subjects in rural governance, the township government as the spokesperson of the state government, the village cadres representing the forces of the village elite, and the peasants who represent their own interests. In relevant academic research, some just focus on one subjects, some described two sides in terms of one’s strengths shifting to another.Few studies have studied the interaction of the three forces as a whole. In this article,I take X township in Guyuan County,Hebei Province as the investigation site, and I will use Bourdieu’s "field"theory to analyze how the township cadres, village leaders, and peasant rely on their resources to interact.Especially,I will focus on the township government’s position and strategy in the rural "field".This article is divided into five parts. The first part is an overview of research topics, research origins, existing research, theoretical frameworks, and research methods. The second part introduces the location of the investigation site, which is based on geography, population, economy, society and other aspects. In addition, the main characters involved in this article are introduced so that the reader can clearly understand. The third’ part discusses the work strategies of the township government. This part includes three aspects, commanding superiors, relations with village officials, and interaction with peasants.Through that I try to analyze the principles and strategies thatthe township government rely on to make power run smoothly. The fourth part discusses the ways in which peasants maintain and fight for their rights.Peasants maintain and fight for their rights mainly from two aspects, daily resistance and petition. The fifth part is the summary and reflection.Based on the summary of the full text,I use Bourdieu’s "field" theory to explore the capital and strength of the parties in the operation.Meanwhile,I focus on the analysis of the position and action of the township cadres in the network.
