This is a translation report based on the excerpt of a social science book entitled The China Pivot and The New Silk Road. This book, starting from the western evaluations towards the One Belt and One Road project(OBOR)to the scholars' research into a series of data as well as cases in the process of construction, provides an introduction into China's biggest infrastructure project. It involves Chinese and Western media viewpoints from different perspectives on the huge infrastructure projects, and its purpose is to let those who are interested have a comprehensive understanding of China's audacious project. Before the translation, based on the knowledge of different language functions and forms of Chinese and English language, this report carries out pronoun frequency calculation on the excerpts of the translated text and compares their functions respectively. In the process of translation, this report finds that there is implicit phenomenon in the translation of pronouns. From the perspective of implicitation, interlanguage and cultural factors, this report summarizes by means of case study three translation methods of pronouns---pronoun anaphora, omission and rewriting. The application of these methods, combined with the consideration of context and different perspectives hopefully solves some of the problems encountered in the translation and improves the translation quality of this kind of informative texts as a whole. The author hopes that this report will shed some light on the translation of similar texts in the future.
