Chinese opera culture has a long history,dating back to the Song and Yuan Dynasties.After more than 800 years,it has branched out "drama","drama","legend","Kunshan tone","Yiyang tone","Erhuang tone" and many others opera form and tone.With the development and changes of the times,many types of operas have faded out of people's horizons.Chinese traditional dramas such as Peking Opera and Kunqu,which are still active on the contemporary stage,are also facing a crisis of inheritance.In such a cultural environment,many music creators try to integrate the elements of drama and music and create many Chinese-style music works.For example,many of the works that we are familiar,such as "Hometown is Beijing","Tsing Yi"," Drunk in love forever ","Full flower in floor ","Peony Pavilion" and so on are all products of this background.The song "Peony Pavilion" is based on Tang Xianzu's legendary work "The Peony Pavilion",which is based on the love story of Du liniang and Liu Mengmei.It incorporates the melody characteristics of traditional music and the singing style of Kunqu Opera.It is created with modern composition techniques.It respects the inheritance of traditional Chinese music and does not stick to the constraints of traditional music forms.It has new ideas in creative techniques,musical expression,and arrangements,and has promoted the popularization of traditional Chinese culture.This article starts with the background introduction,artistic features and singing analysis of the song "Peony Pavilion",and conducts in-depth research on the songs,in order to analyze and comb the song's artistic features and singing practice,so that the singers can understand and cognize more clearly.The connotation of the song provides a certain theoretical support and method guidance for the song singing.
