Johannes Brahms(1833-1897),German composer. In 1879,Brahms' piano work "Rhapsody in g minor" was one of the masterpieces of his mature period. This work not only inherited the creative ideas of the classical period, but also showed polyphonic thinking, rigorous and rational classical writing techniques, and the complex emotions of composers hidden in the whole song, reflecting the "romantic classical" musical style characteristics. This thesis will focus on analyzing Rhapsody in g minor through three chapters. The first chapter is an overview of Brahms' life and an introduction to the "Rhapsody" genre. The second chapter analyzes the creative background, the forming factors of the "Romantic Classical" style, the structure of the melody, the theme melody, the rhythm, and the tonality, and compares it with the Rhapsody of composers of the same period. The third chapter analyzes and elaborates on the pedal, rhythm, sound pattern, velocity, etc.Through the analysis and elaboration of this article,I hope that it can provide some help to the musicians who research and perform this work, and let more musicians understand the unique musical charm of Brahms Rhapsody..
