In recent decades,the Chinese teaching boom in Thailand has been on the rise,and has developed very quickly.It has become a hot topic in the academic community.But it is worth noting that Chinese teaching in Thailand still exists many shortcomings.This article will start from the problem of "lack of high-level talents" and focus on the learner factor.A case study of intermediate and advanced Chinese learners in North Chiang Mai University is hoped that through the study of learning strategies,emotional factors,learning methods,and learning characteristics of intermediate and advanced Chinese learners,suggestions and inspirations of Chinese learning and teaching will be provided to more Chinese learners and Chinese teachers,and then can promote the cultivation of high-level Chinese talents.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,this article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is an overview of the research objects.It mainly introduces how to define the level of Chinese learners.the way and basis of selecting the research objects and the basic learning situation of the research objects.The second chapter analyzes the Chinese learning situation of the research subjects.The first is the use of Chinese learning strategies,which includes six strategies: memory strategy,cognitive strategy,compensation strategy,metacognitive strategy,affective strategy and social strategy;the second is the influence of learners' emotional factors,including motivation,attitude,and personality;then It is an introduction to the study methods of listening,speaking,reading and writing;finally,the study characteristics of the study subject are summarized.Based on the previous research,the third chapter provides five learningsuggestions for Chinese learners,such as understanding self-learning,using the Chinese learning strategies rationally and so on,and other four teaching suggestions for Chinese teachers,such as attaching importance to students' differences in Chinese proficiency,guiding students to use all kinds of learning strategies and so on.They are expected to be useful to Chinese learners and Chinese teachers.
