Interpreting Strategies From The Perspective Of Interpreter's Multiple Roles

This report is based on the author's consecutive interpreting practice in the reception meeting held by the Royal Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou to welcome the student journalists from Yangjiang Little Journalist Association.In August 2019,the author worked as an intern in this consulate.In this report,the author first analyzes the multiple roles she took on during the event,namely the interpreter,host,and event organizer,and the interpreting difficulties she encountered,then concludes the interpreting problems in the transcript based on the characteristics of each role,and finally elaborates on corresponding interpreting strategies.Through the case analysis,the author is intended to improve her interpreting skills and offer references for other interpreters in similar interpreting practices.
