Report On Translation Of Excerpts From Mobile Technologies As A Health Care Tool

This practice report is based on the translation practice of Locast health diary project.The author firstly explains the functions and the text characteristics of the product introduction,then introduces the cooperative principle adopted as the guiding principle of this translation.In 1975,the famous British philosopher Hebert Paul Grice published the book "logic and conversation",which has attracted wide attention in many fields,such as philosophy,cognition,linguistics and so on.In particular,the cooperative principle and its "four maxims" put forward in the article,namely the maxim of relation,the maxim of manner,the maxim of quantity and the maxim of quality,are regarded as one of the classics of pragmatics.Grice holds that every rational conversation follows the cooperative principle.In the body part of this thesis,the author analyzes some specific cases to explain the exact translation strategies utilized in this thesis.Concerning lots of imperative sentences,passive sentences,simple sentences and complex sentences,the translator uses different translation strategies such as literal translation,reduction translation,clauses conversion,supplementary translation and splitting method so as to keep the translation precise and practical.
