A Report On E-C Translation Of Standard-based&Responsive Evaluation

On May 2,2018,a team of archive major from Nanjing University commissioned the author to translate the eighth chapter of Standard-based and Responsive Evaluation from English into Chinese.The full translated version contains more than 10,000 words.Based on analysis of the lexical,syntactic and textual features of the original book,this translation report applies text type theory of Peter Newmark,who is a famous British translation theorist to discuss the translation techniques on informative textsThe report is divided into five parts:the first part introduces the content of the translation task and its importance;the second part summarizes the current research on text type theory at home and abroad;the third part analyzes the lexical,syntactic and textual characteristics of the original text;the fourth part proposes accordingly specific translation methods including annotation,addition and division;the fifth part concludes the report with a summary of limitations and improvement of this translation project.
