The Vocabulary Teaching Design Of Chinese On The Overseas Based On Context Teaching Method

Context Method has a far-reaching influence in second language teaching,and has remarkable promotion for vocabularies learning.Teaching vocabularies without target language environment is highlight the practicability of Context Method.Reasonable teaching design is the premise for successful teaching activities,while effective design for after-class is the good way to strengthen the teaching achievement.The aim of“Learning by extention”,which was proposed by professor Wang Chuming,is to improve the English learning effection of Chinese students.But,its theoretical viewpoints and its practical results can be used to teach Chinese in foreign countries,in which it is lack of target language.When I was teaching Chinese in Confucius Institute in Peru,I was using Context Method as my teaching guidance and was applying the“Learning by extention” for after-class practice design.Combine with the teaching practice,I had designed the vocabularies teaching so as to improve the learning effection for foreign students.Firstly,in order to acquire students’ Chinese vocabularies learning situation with the traditional teaching method,I mainly used the classing-observation and questionnaire to collect my teaching materials;And then,according to the survey,I changed the teaching method with the guidance of Context Method,meanwhile,to design the vocabularies teaching with students’ actual situation;Next,I found the“Learning by extention ” theory through literatures and applied it into after-class teaching design so as to deal with the problem,of which is because students lack of target language environment to practice Chinese.Last but not least,in order to check the “Learning by extention”theory whether it could help students of Peru to improve their Chinese vocabularies learning effect in non-target language environment,I set up a series of after-class practices which are relative to“Learning by extention”for Chinese intermediate 4 students.As a result,to a certain extent the“Learning by extention”theory has improvement to students’ Chinese vocabularies learning.
