| Teaching Chinese as a foreign language embraces phonologic,lexical,grammar and what the like.Vocabulary teaching has always been the important and difficult point throughout the teaching process.Most of their meanings,no matter Chinese words or vocabularies of other languages,are not an entirely equivalent relationship.More than 90% of the words in modern Chinese are polysemous,which is common phenomenon.Therefore,to teach the polysemous words is a critical point in the course of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Because of the difference in setting the teaching goals,the teaching of polysemous words is located in the mid-and higher stage.During the teaching,how to help students to tell and use the polysemy is now a problem needed to being solved.Many experts and scholars touches upon the functions of context teaching method in the midst of teaching polysemous words.However,in the specific teaching process,it doesn’t work for every teacher.Students still cannot have a good command of semantic and pragmatic characteristics of polysemy.In order to achieve the correct understanding and application,therefore,it is worthwhile to discuss how to make context teaching methods release its best effect in the specific teaching of polysemous words.The author of this paper worked to teach Chinese as a foreign language for one year.In the real teaching process,the author found that in terms of students’ understanding and command of polysemous words,some problems exist as follows:first of all,lack of polysemy consciousness;secondly,students are quite confused about the meanings of polysemy in different contexts,which mainly because they cannot induce and analyze the meaning of polysemous words according to the specific contexts;students cannot use them flexibly.Aimed at the problems mentioned above,the author explores the difficult point for students to understand and apply the polysemous words rightly.Through the theory combined with practice,designing teaching plans according to the teaching material,using the context teaching method through the context,situational context and cultural context of polysemy analysis and explanation,and to help studentsmaster polysemy to master and use.This thesis is divided into six parts.The introduction mainly concentrates on presenting the significance of this paper and the status quo of context teaching method.The first chapter illustrates the definition and its composition of context teaching method and polysemy;the second chapter is aimed at introducing the application of context teaching method in the teaching of polysemous word;the third chapter explores the polysemous words in the teaching material study Chinese Extensive Reading Course;the fourth chapter is based on the application of context teaching method in the teaching of polysemous words of the teaching material;the fifth chapter is a conclusion of this article.Based on the concrete application of contextual teaching method in the polysemous words of Chinese as a foreign language,this paper teaches,consolidates and exercises the polysemous words through context teaching method through contextual context,situational context and cultural context.Through the teaching,students establish the semantic network of polysemy words,enhance the awareness of learning polysemy words,students further improve the ability to analyze the meaning of the context,the ability of pragmatics and communication skills. |
