This report is based on the English-Chinese translation of international relations text of EU-China-Africa Trilateral Relations in a Multipolar World, which mainly introduces EU's foreign policy research on China and Africa, characterized by many related terms, professional knowledge, complex sentences as well as implicit information hidden between the lines. This report mainly explores some useful methods in the translation of implicit information in the original text together with proper examples.During the translation,it is found that the main difficulty lies in the translation of implicit information embodied in words(phrases included)and sentences.Based on the contextual dynamic adaptability theory and the explicitation strategy, the translator chooses translation techniques such as semantic extension and class shift to translate the implicit information in words(phrases included);for sentences, the translator employs addition, division and structural shift. In addition, the translation strategies of domestication and foreignization have been referred to in the practice. This translation practice and report writing have deepened the translator's understanding of international relations texts and helped accumulate more knowledge of translation strategies and skills. It is hoped that the translation problems and methods summarized can offer valuable reference to translators in the same field.
