A Report On The Interpretation Of The Two Sessions Of The World Economic Forum

With the improvement of China's economic status,China has increasingly become integrated into the process of globalization.In recent years,China's voice is often heard in major world forums.As one of the most well-known forums in the world,the World Economic Forum has long been known as the weather vane of the global economy.Through interpreting the World Economic Forum,the author can not only have a knowledge of the latest economic trends and the international situation but also enrich the theory of interpreting practice.The interpretive theory,which comes from the practice of conference interpreting,is fairly operative and feasible.With the guidance of interpretive theory,the author carried out simulated consecutive interpreting of the two sessions of the World Economic Forum and probed into sense units and deverbalization.This report is composed of three parts.Chapter One is a brief introduction to topic source and significance,task objectives and analysis of simulated audience.Chapter Two is process description,which mainly includes preparation before interpreting,process and reflection and quality evaluation.A case study is presented in Chapter Three.First,sense units are analyzed in simulated interpreting.Second,the author analyzed the loss and misinterpreting of sense units in details.Third,the relevant strategies are proposed.Then a conclusion which includes research findings and shortcomings is made.
