Bandura's self-efficacy theory has been widely concerned by domestic and foreign researchers and scholars and has been applied in various fields.Self-efficacy in English writing is the application of self-efficacy in the field of English writing.It refers to students' judgment of their ability to complete specific English writing tasks and their experience accordingly.Understanding and research on the self-efficacy of high school students' English writing will help front-line teachers combine theory with teaching practice,change traditional teaching methods and improve the efficiency of high school English writing class so as to improve students' English learning performance and confidence.Based on single method,small sample size and lack of combined theory and practice in the previous research,this study regarding 333 students in Yimen No1 high school as the research object uses the revision of “the high school English writing self-efficacy questionnaire” to know the present status of high school students English writing self-efficacy and combines the related theory with the teaching.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The revised questionnaire on high school students' self-efficacy in English writing has a good reliability and validity.(2)High school students' self-efficacy in English writing is in the middle level.(3)High school students who like learning English and have strong confidence in English writing have a better sense of self-efficacy in English writing than those who have general interest in English learning and have general confidence in English writing.(4)The teaching and training program for high school students' sense of self-efficacy in English writing is practical and feasible,which can effectively improve their sense of self-efficacy in English writing and their writing scores.According to the above research conclusions,this study starts from formulating reasonable teaching objectives and using appropriate teaching strategies;To establisha good atmosphere for English writing learning through group cooperation;To guide students to make reasonable attribution by using diversified evaluation and feedback;Some teaching suggestions are put forward from the aspects of developing school-based English writing courses,introducing network resources and building a network platform,hoping to improve the current situation of English writing teaching in senior high school and improve students' sense of self-efficacy and level of English writing.
