Research On Wayfinding System Design For Cultural Tourism Characteristic Towns

In today's fast-growing society,people need to rely on navigation to assist traffic travel in the face of more and more behaviors to find destinations.Navigation is also needed to help them find their destinations quickly when reaching unfamiliar scenic spots or buildings.The Wayfinding System arises at the historic moment.Since 2016,the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development has successively approved403 national-level characteristic small towns.Through policy support,it has guided the construction of a number of unique small towns,of which the largest proportion is Cultural Tourism Characteristic Towns.Cultural Tourism Characteristic Towns with their profound cultural heritage,beautiful natural scenery,superior tourism resources,honest customs and characteristic industrial support,have attracted a large number of urban living crowds to become a tourist destination for relaxation and leisure.According to the survey,it is found that the design of the Wayfinding System in the Characteristic Towns of Cultural Tourism in China is developing slowly,and some towns do not have the awareness of the design of the Wayfinding System.Most of them focus on planning land,small town landmark buildings,and small town characteristic industries,ignoring the importance of the design of the Wayfinding System.For tourists visiting for the first time,the systems can help them quickly and accurately reach the place they are looking for.At the same time,they can feel the cultural atmosphere of the town and experience the temperature of the town through the design of the Wayfinding System.This paper conducts research on the design of the Wayfinding System of Cultural Tourism Characteristic Towns.By collating and summarizing relevant literature at home and abroad,designing from the user's point of view,incorporating universal design,aesthetic design and other concepts,this paper carries out a research on the design of the Wayfinding System of Cultural Tourism Characteristic Towns,and optimizes the design by taking Wengang Town,the first batch of national characteristic towns as an example.The research results obtained in this paper are:(1)Sort out the actual needs of the design of the Wayfinding System for Cultural Tourism Characteristic Towns.From the six aspects of the background of the era of building a beautiful village,the theoretical support of global tourism,the rapiddevelopment of urban,the flow trend of the town's population,the necessity of releasing correct information,and the responsibility of inheriting characteristic culture.This paper summarizes and discusses the necessity of the cultural roots of the design of the Wayfinding System of the Cultural Tourism Characteristic Towns.(2)The standardized design guidelines and design process of the Wayfinding System for Characteristic Town of Culture and Tourism are proposed.The design of the Wayfinding System needs to be designed in accordance with the principles of accuracy and standardization,localization,system coordination,aesthetic unity,safety and sustainability,and people-oriented universality,so as to increase its integration with the town culture,friendliness with users,and beauty with the town image.(3)Based on the field survey of Characteristic Town of Culture and Tourism,this paper sums up the problems of layout and configuration,vision and installation,and management according to the current situation of the Wayfinding System in the town,and takes Wengang town as an example to carry out the practical application optimization design research.A survey was conducted on the current situation of the town's current design of the Wayfinding System.From the perspectives of modeling,space,and management,optimization suggestions were made to create a set of "Wengang model" suitable for the design of the Wayfinding System for Characteristic Towns of Cultural Tourism.
